The point of comparisons like these, even the quick ones, is that many other dense cities in many other countries tackle the same problems as us. Some in similar ways, some in wildly different ones.
Cities that do much better than us in specific domains should not be causes of despair and bitterness - they should be showcases of opportunity, advertisements of possibility."
