Not everyone has the time to take The Foundations of New York, but I can still give you the information you need about NYC politics, the government, and the law generally.

Custom 1:1 instruction

Learning about the NYC political system is almost impossible if you’re starting from scratch, but many people have good reasons to do so (including, but not limited to, changing the system).

To remedy this: I teach a customized version of The Foundations of New York on a 1:1 basis. Things we can customize:

  • Content beyond the basics of political practice and governmental structure
  • Meeting times and durations
  • The structure of homework and learning deliverables
  • Whether/how you participate in the group Discord

Custom group instruction

If you’re part of an organization (or just a group of friends) and want to learn to achieve the politics of progress, but you can’t take The Foundations of New York, we can set up your own custom class. As with the 1:1 instruction above, it can be customized to fit your own goals and needs.

Pricing: variable, depending on group size and other things. Expect a floor of $700 per person.

If you want to learn about your own city, but don’t know how to approach the project, I can help you begin.

The kinds of questions we can discuss:
